Step 2: Adding Vibrancy with Watercolours

Once the pencil sketch is complete, I move on to adding colour. I carefully erase parts of the pencil lines before painting over the sketch with vibrant watercolours from Winsor & Newton. The colours I use are chosen to express the mood and emotions of the moment. This blending process brings depth and life to the artwork, making it come alive with rich, expressive hues.

Step 3: Creating a High-Quality Digital Version

After finishing the illustration, I create a high-quality digital file. To ensure the digital version captures the essence of the original artwork, I use a scanner. The file is high-resolution (around 17-18 MB), but the quality of the scanner may vary. This means the digital image might not fully capture the texture and exact colour nuances of the original sketch. I strive to maintain the artwork’s integrity and vibrancy, but some differences in feel and colour may occur.
